Vancouver, British Columbia has been voted, repeatedly, the "Best City in the Americas" by Condé Nast Traveler magazine, based on the categories of ambience, friendliness, culture and sites, restaurants, lodging, and shopping. This is just one of our city's many awards and accolades that clearly demonstrate the many reasons to live in Vancouver!

We know most of Vancouver, but these are the communities we specialize in, service and give back to. Each one has it's own personality and we would be happy to help figure out which on is best for you.

Whether you're looking for a single detached home or an apartment, allow me to show you the best properties that Vancouver has to offer. I am proud to feature properties in the following Westside communities: University, West Point Grey, Kitsilano, Fairview / Mt. Pleasant, Dunbar/Southlands, Arbutus Ridge, Kerrisdale,Shaughnessy,South Granville and Oakridge.

ubc.jpgUniversity

The creation of the University Endowment Lands was first proposed after the passing of the University Endowment Act of 1907, in which the BC government agreed to set aside two million acres (8,000 km²) of British Columbia Crown land to be sold or leased to fund the creation of a university.

In 1911 the provincial government set aside 175 acres in Point Grey for the creation of the University of British Columbia. In 1988, the creation of Pacific Spirit Park was announced, which currently makes up of over half of the UEL, acting as a greenbelt between the developed areas and the City of Vancouver.

In addition to its residential areas and beaches, Kitsilano is home to two distinct commercial strips with shops, restaurants and other services. fairview.jpgFairview / Mount Pleasant

As Vancouver expanded & grew through the 1900's, the area's ease of access to the city core meant that the industrial use dwindled & commercial and residential development quickly filled out the neighbourhood. Built on the side of a hill, the sloping land means that the majority of homes in this area have fantastic day & nightime views of the downtown skyline, and the North Shore mountains.

At the foot of the slope is False creek, where residents enjoy year-round recreation and the shops & services found at the historic Granville Island Market. This market is one of the largest in the world and is home to Emily Carr University of Art + Design.

shaughnessy.jpgShaughnessy

Known by many as the Vancouver's Grand Old Neighbourhood, Shaughnessy is a direct result of the city's major economic boom in the early 1900s. Originally developed by the Canadian Pacific Railway, and named for then president Sir Thomas Shaughnessy, the area is an early example of a master-planned community. Winding tree-lined streets are flanked by well-tended hedgerows and gardens surrounding luxurious homes and gated estates.

The Shaughnessy community is located in the centre of the city, with convenient access to both downtown, and the airport. There are two elementary schools, a secondary school, and four community parks including the breathtaking 55-acre VanDusen Botanical Gardens.
